What are your thoughts on this?
I saw this the other day and am stil.  over it.
At a rather well known restaurant, pizza place on LI. They have pies Inthe front and a sit down area in the back. So getting ready to go, I see on of the employees, no glove on,,stick his hand into the case and take a piece of feta cheese off the greek pizza.
And he saw me watching him, but did it anyway.
I won't be going back to this place, but would you gave said anything, or just left it and not go back.

I don't know, it's hard to say...
I was at HONU recently.
They have an upstairs that overlooks rest of the restaurant and it just so happens I could see where the food was getting ready to go out to the guests, and there was a man who was in charge of checking the food after it was plated and ready and making sure it was going to the right table and looked the right way. Very hustle and bustle. Anyway, he pinched some topping off of the top of a dish, like spinach or something, and put it on another dish...with his bare hands.
I cringed but I'd still return. I think it's part of the food culture, KWIM?
Did your guy eat the piece of feta? What was his reasoning for using his hands?

What are your thoughts on this?
DH (who is in construction-based work) has done jobs in some very well-known, "good" places here on LI and when he has told me the conditions of the kitchens I would never set foot in them (i.e. leaving sauce out overnight with a plastic tarp when the kitchen is getting a new floor put in). So yeah, I think a lot of it is just the way it is, and they hope no one notices. I would post the names of the places, but don't want it tied back to him ;).

Honestly- I am sure there is a lot worse going on that you DON'T see...
I just kind of chalk it up to a hazzard of eating out... I try not to think about it too much, or I'd never eat out again.
