What Bottles Do You Use?
I'm going to try breastfeeding in the beginning, but I'm wondering what kind of bottles I should get. I was thinking either Born Free or the Playtex Drop In Nurser Set. Can anyone share what they used? Also, what was your cleaning/maintenance method? Did you boil and sterilize bottles every night, or just use dishwasher or clean them in warm water and soap? Thanks!

I'm nursing and supplementing and use Avent. No nipple confusion and Ive used them with older DD too and no gas issues either.

Re: What Bottles Do You Use?
I use the super cheap bottles that they sell at the drug store. I think they are Evenflo? I got 12 for like $10.
I planned on getting the name brand ones, but these worked out better.
I boil them every night (still do and the boys are 13 mo!). When they were newborns, I would just make up all of the bottles in the morning that I would need for each day.
I liked the evenflo ones because they had colored tops. Georgie had blue and green; Hunter had yellow and purple. They were eating different amounts in the beginning so I'd know who got each bottle just by looking at the top.

Re: What Bottles Do You Use?
i used playtex drop-ins for all 3 of my kids and they never had any problems.
i would wash them in hot soapy water every night. the silicone (i think?) nipples specifically say on the package not to boil after the first use. we had no dishwasher when they were born but moved when they were 3 months and had a dishwasher and then i started putting them in there.

Re: What Bottles Do You Use?
Dr. Browns & dishwasher. We had enough so we could go almost a day and half before running the dishwasher. THey are pain to assemble sometimes but they worked great for my older DD and the twins who are now 8 months.

I used the playtex drop-ins. Tip: Be sure to push all of the air out. No nipple confusion. My son had acid relfux and these worked best for him (I found out after trying a few diffrent brands) GL Rebecca

Same! I had all these expensive bottles left from DS#1, all new nipples, and they twins would not use them. They loved the cheap Evenflo bottles and these were the only bottles they would drink from. STILL now at 11 months. The different colors worked out well. Yellow & purple for DD, blue and green for DS.
