What break do you get for a 5 hour day?
I havent worked part time in forever and will be starting a new job tomorrow. My hours are going to be 10-3. I assume since I am an hourly employee, I do not get a lunch but do I get any kind of meal break? I seem to remember something about a 10 or 15 minute break. I will be leaving my house at 9 to drop DS at my mom's and I'm trying to figure out when i should eat. I am going to be working at a lawfirm (very informal setting) but dont want to start off on the wrong foot by eating at my desk, but for those who work similar hours, when and where do you eat? Do you just bring snacks and munch throughout the day?

when i was in retail i got 15 min's for a 5 hour shift

15 min break but see how it goes after a while. See what others do.
You may get away with a snack at your desk, but don't do it right away.
