I would check the airline website or the FAA website they will have the latest regulations.
Keep in mind you can carry bottles of water etc onto the plane BUT the catch is you can't get it thru security - so if there is something you want to carry on but it is on the restricted list - you might be able to buy it in the stores by the gate then it is okay to bring onto the plane. The catch is getting thru security.
Also when we traveled last we saw many things taken away because people didn't have them in the right size of zip lock bags. So make sure if you are bringing liquids that are okayed but need to be in a ziplock that it is the proper size.
