What can I expect in the 3rd trimester?
I knew going into the 1st trimester that I would be tired and more than likely sick.
I knew going into the 2nd trimester I would feel so much better that I did in the 1st trimester.
Now being in the 3rd trimester (2 days in) I have no idea what to expect.
What have you experienced??

Re: What can I expect in the 3rd trimester?
I still feel really good 95% of the time. Sleeping is getting a little more difficult and I do find myself getting tired earlier. Some more pressure down low and not to be gross but discharge is getting worse. But all in all I still feel really good and Im still ok to workout. Feel good!

Re: What can I expect in the 3rd trimester?
I still feel good!
I get more little "reminders" that I am pregnant when I overdo it like with cleaning or standing too much - small aches and pains in my belly and my back.
I am still sleeping through the night (LOL like a newborn) but I wake up a lot more than then fall right back asleep.
I have been tired the entire pregnancy so this hasnt gone away or gotten worse. . .
but overall, i feel great!

Complete exhausation. I could sleep all day and night if I didn't have DD and a full time job.

Re: What can I expect in the 3rd trimester?
Waking more at night to pee and needing to move. It's hard switching back and forth from one side to the next.
I sometimes get lightheaded. My OB told me that it's the baby leaning on the vasovagal nerve.
Heartburn and reflux- especially at night. I take Zantac every night.

Re: What can I expect in the 3rd trimester?
very bad heartburn to the point it made me throw up, so now i'm on nexium.
(TMI) going #2 a lot more frequently.
lots of pressure down low
getting winded sooner than normal - i think its a combo of decreased lung capcaity and the extra weight i'm carrying.

Re: What can I expect in the 3rd trimester?
My third tri has been great. I've surprisingly had more energy in the third compared to the 1st or second. I guess it depends on the person but I sleep most nights all the way through and if I do get up it's only once to pee.
The worst thing for me has been the heat. I used to be cold all the time and now I am either comfortable when everyone else is cold or hot
Other than that I am definitely bigger and feel a lot bigger.
Everyone is different though as is every pregnancy. Hope you have a great 3rd tri!

Re: What can I expect in the 3rd trimester?
Third tri is all about slowing down and being uncomfortable. At least it is for me.
Gets harder to move, baby is VERY active (well mine are anyway), peeing a lot at night, out of breath a lot, belly bumping into stuff, bending over is much harder.
But I take all that over MS.
Impatience sets in. You just want it to be over with and for the baby to be here. So that too.

Re: What can I expect in the 3rd trimester?
Honestly it's not that terrible...but having had a great pregnancy up until now I can say that this is the worst tri for me in terms of feeling things.
My ankles and feet are swollen 24/7- nothing that used to help (reducing sodium, upping water, ice, elevating them) helps much anymore. I no longer wear shoes- I can't. Only flip flops or sneakers will fit. Thank goodness it's summer.
I feel more pressure down low and a full bladder is downright painful. I get a shooting pain in my groin down my thigh that stops me in my tracks sometimes- I think it's from her head putting pressure on a nerve down there.
I also found that the thrid tri was when I was most exhausted. Never had that infamous fatigue in the first tri- but now I can sleep all day if given the chance.
I also am more aware of the baby- a foot in the ribs, a head in the pelvis- you definitely feel that stuff a TON more.
All in all I have great days where I feel 100% normal- and other days where I feel blah and umcomfy. But it's not unbearable at all!

I love this! I was looking for a term to call it! SOOOO true!
But honestly- you are better off NOT seeing what's going on down there. It's NOT pretty!

Re: What can I expect in the 3rd trimester?
I refuse to look! I know if I do I won't be able to get the courage up to go get waxed. I am so nervous, last time she saw me I was there for a massage and she said "When you come back for waxing, we will see if I can even do it anymore - we will have to take a look!"
All I keep thinking is, OMG what did she see last time?!

Couldn't have said this better myself!
I will also add that I'm ALWAYS hot! I don't remember what it's like to feel cold. My DH walks around our house in a sweatshirt and sweatpants, and I'm sweating on the couch in a t-shirt and shorts. lol
Also, for me, I get bad swelling in the 3rd tri... so much so that it's actually painful, especially in my ankles. Though this is not the case for all preggos so hopefully you'll skip over this lovely symptom.
Enjoy the 3rd tri... you're in the home stretch!!

ITA. Plus a lot of swelling in your feet, and hands, well at least for me.
Going to the dr all the time
and peeing every other minute.

Re: What can I expect in the 3rd trimester?
OH GOD YES the doctor. How annoying.
It goes from every month - to every two weeks - to every week. I had to start weekly appointments early because they said the baby was small SO ANNOYING. but i hate the appts, some people may still like them LOL
