what can I give my 5 and 1/2 month old for a cold?
Any ideas? He is really runny out of one nostril but I can also hear the he is clogged. Isnt there something like Little Noses or whatever?

For colds my ped recommends nothing. Saline drops and a cool mist humidifier, I also use the vapor plugs that you put in the outlet.

Me ped. said the same thing. It has to run its course. Ive been doing saline drops, aspirator and humidifier. My DS has a post nasal drip which is causing his cough/congestion. Oh, also, prop the crib mattress if your DC is coughing.

Yes, I got the same answer from my doctor.
You don't always want to give babies medicine all the time. I had so much antibiotic as a kid it started not to work anymore.

I just got off the phone with the ped and although I dont like to give my boys meds unless they really need it...Matty's really struggling so he recommended 1/4 teaspoon of childrens dimetap.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
