What can I put over hardwood floors to make them safer...
for ds? He fell and hit his lip on the floor.
Is a runner a good thing to get?

I would just keep putting the socks with the grippers on him - eventually he will learn to run on hardwood floors in no time.

At almost 2 Mads is still going barefoot on our hardwood floors. She slips too much in socks. I wouldn't do throws or runners as those could slip or be a tripping hazard.

I would take your DC's socks off, or put socks on with treads. I have several runners, and she has never tripped over them, so that's an option also. Make sure they have rubber on the underside.

actually - that is a much better piece of advice then what I gave you. Jack is always barefoot on our hardwood floors. If you have to put socks on him get the one with the grips.
