what can you actually take on the plane?
food, drinks?
Need to bring things for my DDs.

Food, everything should be fine. Drinks can only be brought if they were purchased after airport security. You know, the cheap stuff

You can bring reasonable amounts of liquids on planes for children under a certain age. This page at TSA.gov breaks it down for you.

The flight attendants can probably give you what you need as far as liquids go and bring whatever food you like! Have fun!

The vast majority of food is fine, except yogurt and anything with a similar consistency.
Liquids are totally fine, in any amount, as long as you buy them in the airport after going through security.
(For water I bring a large empty plastic bottle and fill it up at a drinking fountain after security.)

Why have I never thought of this myself? Instead we pretend we are camels and down our bottles before going through security, i'll definitely be packing an empty bottle next time!
