Good thread!!

We hope she does not get my fine hair OR DH's too thick hair! We hope it's a nice in between mix of the two. And I am always told I have very nice skin so we hope she gets that over my DHs skin.

We keep joking, saying we hope she gets her looks from me, and doesn't look like my DH with a wig on! He's a good looking GUY. But since he has no sisters or female cousins that resemble him, we can't even imagine what a female version of him might look like.

ETA - On a more important, serious note (the above things are not truly imp since they are not related to health) we are praying she doesn't inherit DH's allergies and asthma. It's one of my main concerns, hoping she takes after me b/c I don't have either asthma or allergies. Praying really hard for this!

1) I hope he doesn't get his father's "short" gene --'s father is only about 5'8"....but I'm 5'7", so hopefully he'll have the tall genes from my side of the family.

2) I hope he doesn't get my extremely fair and pale skin. His father is darker skinned, so I'm hoping he gets his.

3) I don't want him to have my temper.

4) I also don't want him to have my procrastination trait.

5) I hope he doesn't get my emotional "coldness"---although I think this is more nurture than nature. His father is a much more caring and loving individual than me. So, hopefully the way we raise him will aid in keeping that characteristic away.

6) I hope he gets my "smarts" and "brain." His father isn't the most intellectual individual and can't spell or use proper grammar (which drives me NUTS). So, hopefully my baby boy gets all of my intelligence.

Other than those things, I think both his father and I are pretty good people with decent looks and personalities. He should be a lucky kid.

my skin..... there is a super-strong history of melanoma...

I inspected little loaf when he was born, and he doesn't have any moles... most of my family members had moles as babies... so I'm hopeful!

looks wise, it was nothing... but then again, DH and I look very similar, so we knew that little loaf would look a certain way and end up being a very tall blond fair boy....

We know we are having identical twins...haven't found out sexes yet but overall I'd love them both to have my hair(fh's fam all has super thin hair)....both of our sense of humor and carefree attitude...I love rob's eyes bc they r so puppydog but I also love my big doll eyes....we r both tall so def height...my sense of style robs ability to remaib calm and so forgiving...all I hope they don't inherit is my bad mouth and temper

I hope that our DD
does not have DH's severe allergies. does not have to suffer through infertility like I did.
has our sense of humor.
has my streetsmarts and Dh's School Smarts.
has a sense of compassion.

As for Looks:

Hair-my hair. My natural hair color is Black, and it's straight, and thick! DH has thick black hair but I think my hair might be straighter.
Eyes-Dh's eyes(light brown) or her great grandma's (blue)
Lips-Dh's. He has elvis' lips.
Nose-My mom's. We both hate our noses
Skin-DH and his family side. My skin is horrible.
Complexion-Olive skin. I am hoping with the combination of our skin colors. DD will have Olive Skin.
Breasts ( . ) ( . )- DH's side of the family. I am on the smaller side and had a complex growing up!

I had wished she had my eye colors (blue and brown) but they are only brown.. and breathtaking!!!

I hope she doesnt get any of my inherited issues..: joints, digestion, skin.. etc.
