I never took Lamaze and glad I didnt because I felt I didnt need it at all (plus my friends said it was a waste).
I took the Breastfeeding class which is GREAT, but I wound up NOT doing it

Re: What classes do your recommend?
I used a dvd for lamaze (which you are more than welcome to borrow and watch). I did take Infant/child CPR (DH was already certified). I felt that it was very helpful ... and gave me peace of mind. I took it at the Red Cross in Mineola.
I did do an informal breastfeeding class at a local hospital... w/ Diane!

Re: What classes do your recommend?
Without a doubt CPR. Kids choke and put thing in their mouth all of the time. This class could be potentially life saving. I have to be trained yearly in my field but if I didn't have to be I would still take this class. Lamaze I did through DVD and I would highly rec that as well. Image Attachment(s):

Re: What classes do your recommend?
I think you can skip lamaze and watch a video. We watched "laugh and learn about Childbirth" and it was great! Definately take the infant CPR and the breastfeeding is up to you. I wasn't sure if I was going to, but I took the class anyway. I ended up not BFing, but I'm really glad that I took the class.

Re: What classes do your recommend?
some people like to take the infant care class. I didn't, but I'm sure you can get some good pointers. It's not necessary, but couldn't hurt.

Re: What classes do your recommend?
If I had to do all over again...
Lamaze was a waste for me. Kinda thought it would be with a higher chance of a c-section with multiples. I was only pushing for 11 minutes.
BF class. I also read a lot about BF and talked to my friends. The class was very informative, just for me, didn't have much advice on feeding twins. I would highly recommend you take one and get the names of a lactation consultant in case you have difficulties.
Infant CPR... by far the most important!!!! The one that is the most overlooked everyone should take this no matter what their situation.
ETA: DEpending upon how much you have cared for babies, especially recently I would recommend the infant care class. Good info about what is a temp on a baby, different colors of poo etc.

Re: What classes do your recommend?
Every mommy and Daddy needs infant CPR in my opinion.. and child CPR for that matter too. Breastfeeding classes are probably good too though i have never taken any.. lamaze is pretty much a waste of time.

Re: What classes do your recommend?
DH & I both took CPR, which I totally recommend, very important! We both took the Breast Feeding class and 14 months later still nursing so I recommend. We also took Lamaze which I found to be a waste of $150 and a full Saturday. It was nothing we couldn't have learned in a book, dvd, internet, etc... I did have a drug free natural birth though so maybe it helped some, lol...

Re: What classes do your recommend?
I didn't take lamaze b/c i was soppossed to have a c-section, but that didn't happen. So i say it doesn't hurt to take it, but knowing what i know now about giving birth, if ihad to learn about it b4, it'd would have freaked me out. I personally think the suspense makes it easier, and less scary.
CPR, definately take, not long, and can potentially save a life!!!!
I took that class w/ DH, Grandparents, and the uncle too!

Re: What classes do your recommend?
Everything but the lamaze. When the time came, I said, forget the breathing...just give me some drugs!

Re: What classes do your recommend?
I loved my Lamaze class. We were dreading it, but were so happy we took it. We knew we would get too distracted watching a dvd. What we learned about about breathing was extremely helpful.
I would CPR is really most important.
