What color are you doing in the nursery?

We're not finding out the sex, so we picked Kittery Point Green. DH painted yesterday and I don't like it - it looks very minty/pastel. I was hoping it would be a little more sage/muted. Can you post you rooms and let me know the color? TIA!!

ETS: Just to give you an idea of the rest of the room - it's not all that big. DH just installed pergo floors in Sandal Oak. There's a white chair rail. We ordered furniture in Cherry - Bonavita Hudson collection.

Re: What color are you doing in the nursery?

We're doing a deep vanilla - Hepplewhirl Ivory (BM). Our furniture is the mahogany color from Bellini (a somewhat cherry-ish mahogany) and we'll also have a chair rail moulding (white). Since we're not finding out either, I figured creams and vanilla were great to add pink or blue accents to in order to 'gender-ize' the room when the baby's here.

Re: What color are you doing in the nursery?

We're using our current guest room as the nursery and it was just painted over the summer...so we're keeping it. It helps that I love the color. BM Cement Gray. Changes color depending on the light - from grey to blue to lavender.

Re: What color are you doing in the nursery?

I had the same experience with kittery point green a few years ago when I planned to paint our living room green. It's yellow today.

We're doing 2 colors - I forget what shade of pale pink on top and we're using Dillweed (green) on bottom with a chair rail in between. Bella Paige used dillweed in her DD's room and I LOVED her pics so that's what made me choose it.

This is the wallpaper border we picked.

The walls in the room are the same color as the pale yellow background, and the trim is the same yellow that is behind Thumper. I'll try to post a pic of the room itself later.

It's called Sage Green by Glidden, but I am getting it in Duron. We prefer their paint.

The bedding I picked out was green so I decided to go with a beige/oatmeal color. We picked everlasting by BM. It looks really nice with our hardwood floors and the the baby's furniture which is pecan.

eta: Since we don't know the sex I plan to add color to the room with accessories once the baby is born.

Re: What color are you doing in the nursery?

We're doing "Watery" from Sherwin Williams. We haven't painted yet, but the color is a very soft aqua that looks like it'll be great for either sex. And we're doing white wainscoting on the bottom half of the wall.

Here's a link to the swatch.

Re: What color are you doing in the nursery?

I'm keeping the walls linen white which most of my walls on the main floor are. The furniture will be mahogany (sp?) and we'll decorate with pictures and linens and such. I want the room to remain a neutral color so we don't have to repaint every few years. The rug in that room has been burbur with splashes of blue, pink and grey. We are hoping to eventually sell the house so I don't want anything too "custom". I can't see myself repaintiing the room anyway and money is way too tight for that, if anything my bathroom needs to get redone so we can put the closet back in what will be the baby's room.

Re: What color are you doing in the nursery?

Were not decorating the baby's room till he/she comes, the baby will be in our room the first 3 months anyway, so it gives me time to pick the right colors.
