what color ceiling fans?
We are gtting ceiling fans for my daughters room and the spare room. Now eventually the spare room will be baby # 2's room( no im not pregnat yet) so i am getting the same color fan since part of my daughters furniture will be movd into the other room for baby # 2.
The furntiure is light wood( natural) so i went out and bought light wood fans. My dh is INSISTING i should have bought white. he said you match the room not the furnituire. I am not saying he is wrong but i think we are both right although i prefer wood he says i am COMPLETELY wrong and wants me to exchange them. Thoughts. TIa

honestly I like the look of the wood ones better then white. We have a white one in the spare bedroom of our house that will eventually we changed to wood when we have kids.
Honestly I believe it is all about preference.

I'd go by which look you like. I have white ones in the bedrooms and a cherry one in the LR. It matches the kitchen cabinets. Some of my furniture is light wood and I have one or 2 cherry pieces. I dont think there's one way to do it, it depends on which looks best in your opinion. If you do use the room for another purpose in the future, you could always change the blades. I had a white one in my DD's room and I painted the blades to match her room. Generally I the white ones tend to have white metal as well vs the wood that have steel, brass, etc. so that often factors into the decision too.
its always so foreign to me when the DHs have so many thoughts on decorating because my DH doesnt care, he leaves it up to me. Not that the Dhs cant be involved, just that my DH isnt so I cant even imagine having that conversation here.

do you have any trim in the room?
if you have white trim... i'd say maybe go with the white fan.
However, i don't think it matters in this instance. If you have wood colored furniture, you can do a wood fan or a white fan.
Are the ceilings white? If they're white, than a wood fan would stick out more... but if you like it, than go for it!

I got a ceiling fan in Home Depot that comes with 2 sets of asps, and each set has 2 sides:
1 side is white
1 side is natural wood
1 side is pastel colors
1 side is primary colors
We love it!! And it was only $50!! Right now it is on the pastel side for baby but we will switch it around as the kid gets older...

I am a fan of all white fans to match the ceiling color. Not a fan of wood fans unless they are dressier.
