what color should we paint our hallway?

When we moved in, and after we took down the hellacious wall paper, we painted our living and dining rooms BM Carlyle Cream. We have a hallway that leads from the living room to the three bedrooms that we did not repaint. Its painted an off-white. Each of the bedrooms are painted in a different color (BM Harp Strings, BM Nantucket Gray, and BM Van Courtland Blue).

There is only one light in the hallway, so its not very bright in there.

Would it be weird/ill-advised to paint the hallway in Carlyle Cream or should we go for something even lighter? Our trim (that which we've repainted) is all done in Decorators White.

i did my hallway a shade lighter than the living room, since one led right into the other. i used bm.... i cant remember both colors but one was guesthouse... idk if thats the living rm or hallway.

i think sometimes its nice to use the same card and pick a lighter shade... esp for hallways that lead to multiple rooms. it just helps it blend.

but it seems you have nice neutral colors already.

my hallway is a yellowish cream color - i like hallways to be neutral and to flow with the room it is connected too

I would stick with that cream color- or a shade lighter if you wanted a change.

My hallway is a gray and I get so many compliments on the color randomly. Its called Rivington something from BM My other rooms are cool beige type tones and it works nicely

go the lighest cream color that you can!! you want it to feel bigger then it is and lighter, so the color you picked is perfect. my other fav is BM dove white

I have a very light creme color in my hallway. We used a darker color for the kitchen (Behr - Bagel) and then used the lightest color (?Behr - Sand dollar) for both of our hallways and the basement.

SO....I say keep the living room color (esp. if you still have some paint) or go lighter on the same swatch if you're looking to do something different!
