What color would you paint your front door...
If your house is gray and the stone work on the front is gray. The house we are buying currently has a pea green front door Looks terrible!

Stained mahogany would look real sharp with red/wine colored shutters. 
Or you can paint it that same wine color, or even blue if paint is the only option.

Black. You could do white if the trim on the windows is white too.
There is a dark gray house by me. I love it, and their front door is painted a pale yellow. Really pops and it looks cool.

my house is light gray (stained shingles) and the front door is burgundy, shutters are black and the trim is white.

Ours is slate blue, we have gray siding and a black roof, and are getting pavers put in next month.
