Oh no, I was hoping to switch to Monday nights. I was thinking if I cook Sunday we can eat leftovers Monday and shop for the week. There is something about having fresh food for the week that is appealing, instead of going smack dab in the middle of the week.
On Mondays, stores are often out of things.
My husband goes on Tuesdays after work & buys soemthing quick for that night & then things for the rest of the week & usually gets pasta( soemthing that won't go bad) for Monday.
Fridays after dinner can also be good, b/c they are usally stocked for the weekend.

friday night - it's empty and then I dont have to worry about it over the weekend.
Us too...love that the store is empty. Its been our ritual ever since we started dating.

I go Saturday around 11-12pm.

We do Fresh Express and have it delivered between 1 an 3 Sunday.

Sunday because we go to shoprite. If we go to waldbaums or pathmark we go Friday night.
how is shoprite on sunday?
usually dh and i go on the weeknights. we went to shoprite on saturday late afternoon and left since the lines were insane. a person with 4 cases of sauce was on the 10 or less line. at shoprite they have to ring up each item, not by case.then we went to pathmark on a saturday night before closing and only had self checkout which was not working.

its bad unless their is a football game on or its really early in the AM. Otherwise its PACKED. but its just so much cheaper so i rather save money and be inconvenienced with time. Plus they always have everything in stock.

I usually go to two stores. One on Friday right after work and one Saturday morning right after I go to the gym.

I'm at home now, so my younger DD and I go on Tuesday mornings. When I was working, I would go alone on Saturday morning while DH stayed with older DD. When I had no kids, I'd go after work usually one random weekday.

I never do big shopping all at once unless I go to BJ's. I go a few times a week on my way home from work to pick up stuff as I need it. It seems though that Thursdays between 4-6, its a mad house!

I prefer Tuesday.
I find that most of the items are fresher (produce, breads etc) since Monday the store is still cleaning up from the weekend crowds & just getting their deliveries.
