What did you dress your dc in for their 1st bday party?
We are having a small 1st bday party for dd this coming weekend, and I'm not sure what to dress her in. At first I was just going to put her in her "My 1st Birthday" onesie and a leggings / tutu bottom...I figured this way if she is all over the place playing, she's comfy. Then my mom asked if I had gotten a dress, and now I'm wondering if people are expecting me to have her in some little girly dress. Just wondering what other people did!

I've seen everything: anything goes: from suits to casual.
We dressed our DS in a baby blue overall outfit that I loved.

DS had a fireman party, so i got him a fireman costume. but when he took it off he had jeans and a onesie that said 1st birthday from BRU.

we had a very very small party for DD, just a few people cake and pizza.
we dressed her in a tutu outfit for most of the party. i took her out of it when i gave her the cake, cause i didnt want any stains on it cause i had to use it for her 1st bday shoot the next day and i didnt want to risk the cake not coming out in the wash. After cake i put her in a carters birthday princess outfit (just a shirt that said brithday princcess and pants)

thank you i got it off etsy! the vendor was amazing since i litteraly waited to the last minute to order and she was able to mail out to me in 2 days so i got in time!

On DD's actual birthday, we just had the a few people over (immediate family) for cake, so I dressed her in exactly what you described: A 1st bday body suit, a tutu-type skirt, and leggings. This weekend, we're having a bigger party at a restaurant and she's wearing a frilly dress.

We had a 40-50 people party in FIL's backyard in late May, so no leggings, but next time I would do leggings. I think I kept her in it almost the whole time. I took it off to eat then for pj's.
