I know, I got like that too, I was trying for 11 months. I couldn't take it anymore. Honestly, I decided that month not to test everyday, cause I was so frustrated. That was the month I got my BFP. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Nancy is this your first month using the CBEFM? I promise it gets much better the 2nd month. It asks for alot less sticks and doesn't give you as many highs. It takes a month or 2 to get to know your body. Try PIAC instead POAS and you may have better luck!

Not to change the subject but this made me think of a question I have.. if your cycles are really long.. and you do ovulate or at least the machine says you do.. are you really? or is anything after a certain time of your cycle definitely considered annovulary(sp)? I was thinking of getting one to check this out since my cycles are really long too (40-45 days)

If your cycles are very long you can very well be ovulating...however, your body is not functioning as it should. A cycle should be approximately 28 days....

However, many women conceive, even when their cycles are long...and have healthy pregnancies.

The clear blue fertility monitor will be able to track the increase in estradoil/LH surge...even if it's cd 30 but...you will definitely be using a lot of sticks. The clear blue monitor sticks uses estradoil and LH to detect a surge. If you use regular opks you can get a positive opk and not ovulate, especially if you have long cycles. Many women with pcos have long cycles and it can be due to excess LH...therefore, getting false positive opks.

I think it's important to find out why you are ovulating so late by asking your doctor to run the appropriate tests.

what kinds of tests could they do? do you have to see a specialist for this? Also .. so even if you are using the monitor you could still be getting a false positive>?
