What do I need to know about buying Sports Autographed Memorbilia?

I'm looking to get DH a sgned helmet or jersey for his bday and most of them come with a COA but I'm wondering why some are much more expensive then others and its the same thing? What am I missing? What should I look for so I know its authentic?

just because i know its def real i always buy autographed stuff from steiner sports..

have bought some cheapies from ebay that come with coa but if its something really big or expensiver i go through steiner

dh and i are biggggg into sports collectibles

I've bought stuff on ebay, just make sure it comes with a COA.

ive never bought one all mine i got in person... but my boss is a HUGE nut with autographs and he will only buy from Steiner

i definitely say Steiner sports.

i was a huge fan of getting autographs from baseball players over my lifetime and i would go into the sport stores and they didn't even come close to the one i had signed directly from them.

idk i just don't trust it, even with a COA
