what do u do for a severe diaper rash
i bought this new paste for diaper rashes to day and it made it 100 times worse!!!!!!! do i still wipes or just wet paper towels? do i use vasaline?

I use triple paste- I load it on with every diaper change when she gets a rash. It works really well.

My doctor recommended dabbing on some mylanta or maalox with a cotton ball. It sounds outrageous, but totally works.

Im going to have to try this..my neighbor is Greek and they've used Greek Organic Plain Yogurt..she swears by it.

In asimlar fashion to the Mylanta, I have done milk and it helps. I warm the milk and then put them on a thick towel and drizzle it on the rash with cotton balls. Afterwards I try to let them go around without a diaper for as long as I can stand it and air it out. Then cream. Either triple paste or butt paste, lots of it. the milk helps

it could be the antibiotic. i would mention it to the dr.
eta: First i wash them down in the bath then triple paste or butt paste as it heals i switch to aquafor.

I just read in one of the baby magazines that the best thing for diaper rash is Mylanta applied with a cotton ball, air for as long as possible, then Aquaphor.

baby acidophillus powder in the milk and triple paste. ask your ped/pharmacist about it. it works wonders!! we use the powder every day as my DD is very prone to diaper rash.
