Like old teachers' guides, old basal readers, old workbooks...things that were not used in the past 5 years?
I have so many. I plan on keepiing 1 of each for future use (to copy if I need) but the rest is taking up so much space!!!

Re: What do you all do with old curriculums in your room?
I have been in my room for five years, so this year I went through each curriculum area of my shelf and started weeding out.
I threw a lot of stuff out, but of course kept one copy for my closet bc I am crazy.
There were outdated type things that were just not helping the kiddos.
Any kid books (like basals etc), we put in the faculty room as an "up for grabs". Sometimes people grab them for tutoring or kids they know. Then they head to the local library sale.

i do an "up for grabs" in the faculty rroom.
but perhaps in light of Katrina, and all the flooding in the midwest this year, perhaps you can find a school that needs them? maybe coordinate a supply drive in your school?
or maybe, from what i've seen on these boards, you could even tell people what you have...there are teachers in NYC that dont' even have books!
