what do you buy new before school ?
I'm just making my list of what I think I might need to buy before school this year. Can you share your shopping list to help me (and others!)? Please share what grade/subject you teach too! I teach 7th and 8th grade Spanish! This is my list so far:
desk chair (after 6 years it's time to invest in one!)
glue
construction paper
crayons
markers
folders
desk organizer
big binder (to keep handouts for new grade level )
desk calendar
stickers
some more scissors
I know there's more I need! I might actually go into school next week (gasp!) and see what I have first before I start shopping.

I teach 9th and 12th grade science.
Things I have already bought:
6 - Pencils (A penny)
2 - Pens (9 cents)
20 - Folders (Free!)
18 - 1 subject notebook (5 cents)
2 - Graph Paper (50 cents)
12 - scissors (50 cents)
I love staples/walmart!
Things I still need:
Glue (apparently free at staples next week)
Construction Paper (I completely forgot)
All and all I have been doing pretty good spending wise.

OMG, I am never going to complain about what I have to buy again. I teach in VA, and at the end of the school year, our secretary orders all of our supplies for the next year. We just go thru the catalogs and pick what we want. The only things I have to buy are posters, borders, and things like that, the school supplies the rest. The only thing I bought for school this year were a few new book baskets and prizes for my prize box.

I ordered a bunch of stuff for next year also . . . and then I changed schools.

we can get some supplies through our school too , but the quality isn't great and the options are very limited.
