YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO CALL HER SOMETHING???
NO seriously. Grandma or first name. I was calling her "hey you" and she told me to call her mom. I would just talk to her, but she would just ignore me until I called her something...I chose Arlene. HEr other dil calls her mom and she was married after me.

I don't call her anything. If I'm not near her I'll have someone get hr attention for me. It's so stupid. She wants me to call her mom and I want to as well ut I feel wierd. I love her so much and she's wonderful but the word doesn't come out of my mouth.

She wanted me to call her mother.  no problem except another word would be added on.
When she was alive I called her Mom or Nanny (if the kids were around)

I call her by her first name. She said I could call her whatever I want so I chose to call her by name. Now that DS is here, I sometimes refer to her as grandma.

i rarely call her anything 
she does not feel like a "mom" to me but at the same time I feel silly calling her by her first name, so I do my best to avoid calling her anything...

Just curious...
I call her by her first name. I don't even remember if she ever told me to call her mom, but I probably wouldn't anyway (just me). My mother called her MIL mom, so it doesn't seem foreign to me, but still, I'm just not comfortable. I do love her to pieces though...

i call my MIL by her first name, I always have. im not close enough with her to feel comfortable calling her mom. Sometimes I refer to her as nanny since thats what my kids call her. I try to avoid calling her anything, unless i call her house, and my FIL picks up and i have to ask for her (which is extremely very very very rare anyway)
