What do you do when you find out?
I was just wondering what the protocol is for when you find out your pregnant?
Do you call the doctor right away or wait a while? What if you are taking a medicine (metformin) specifically..do you stop? Call right away and ask? Get an appointment right away?

Congratulations :) Call your ob/gyn right away and let them know the good news :)
Do not discontinue the metformin, just let them know you were on it, they may want to check your insulin levels and readjust the med.

Since you are seeing a Re , you basically go to them for a beta/p4 test. They will then ask you to come back in 48 hours for another beta/p4.
In about a week from the second beta, you will go for a u/s . I believe you stay with your RE till you are about 7/8 weeks pregnant.
My RE office never told me not to see my ob/gyn until they released me and then they had an issue, that I had a u/s with an ob/gyn and not them.
They said insurance may not cover both.
Call the RE and tell them, you need to come in for a beta tomorrow am :)
