Depends how much you need the job.. and if how quick will it before you get another one. I stayed at mine for 3 years then when i was done with school i left.

if your boss is affecting (effecting?)
your quality of life you need to do whats best for you even if things will be tight $$ wise for a while

If you hate him/her that much, then quitting would be your best bet. We have to see these people for a huge part of our day, every day.....if you cannot stand them, time to go!! Life's too short to be miserable...

I agree, I really like my job otherwise but I just got a new boss and she had had me in tears just about every other day this week.

Depends on the level of hate & why. Some bosses are easier but the ones that can work with the very difficult bosses are the ones that get more $ & move up the ladder.
If it's a daily thing, transfer or find another job. If it's a passing phase, I found pretending I work in a sitcom & he's a fictional character very helpful.

Happened to me... I quit. turned out to be the best thing I could have done. I am a very calm, laid-back, easy-going kind of guy, but almost every night, I would come home stressed, annoyed, etc. Just wasn't worth it.
