What do you do with bread ends?
In a loaf, what do you do with the ends? I work around it till the loaf is gone, then throw out both ends.

I would feel too guilty opening a new loaf and tossing the end, I don't know why so instead I leave it there

I don't like them, so I throw them away. I like the feed the birds idea though... it seems so wasteful to just throw them away!

We go and feed them to the ducks once a week. We always have leftover bread because DH only eats wheat, and I only eat white, but neither of us will eat a full loaf.

we're the opposite! I like wheat and Rich likes white (but he'll eat wheat). FYI too, I freeze half the loaf in a ziplock, it stays fresh!!

I make PB &J with them. The jelly doesnt fall out as easily as with middle slices. And I like my sandwiches to look the same on either side (Im wierd)

I open the bag and immediately toss the front end and then when we're done with the loaf, I toss the other end with the bag
