What do you feed your 1+ year old?
I feel like all this girl eats is pasta, cheese and strawberries. What are some other good ideas that your DCs love? I also do waffles, eggs, Dr. Praegers patties, but am in need of other quick and easy ideas that I can whip up, either in bulk on Sundays or immediately for instant meals.
Thanks!

grilled cheese is one that i always resort to...i don't even grill it, I just slap cheese on bread and put it in the toaster for a minute. or microwave waffles or french toast sticks or chicken fingers.

DS pretty much eats everything we eat. He prefers veggies/fruit over meat but still eats what we eat.

Re: What do you feed your 1+ year old?
DS is 18 months I have a tough time getting him to eat meat. He will eat ham, ground beef and chicken; he doesn't eat much at once though, like a tablespoon or two. Sometimes I'll give him a hot dog or chicken nuggets. I also roast potatoes and put cream cheese on them to get more protein in him.
For breakfast he'll either eat a waffle, oatmeal (made with soy milk and blackstrap molasses) or an apple with cereal. He hates eggs.
What he eats most of the time are fruits and veggies (he prefers raw or roasted); cucumbers, peppers, green beans, zucchini and fresh peas are his go to veggies, for fruits it is apples, grapes and watermelon. He also eats cooked green beans, peas, carrots, zucchini, kale, potatoes (white and sweet).
He loves pasta, with sauce or cheese but I try not to do that too often because of constipation.

Re: What do you feed your 1+ year old?
My DD is 15 months but she has gotten quite picky recently. She will eat any fruit--her favorites though are watermelon & blueberries. Veggies she won't eat solid so I still give her baby food with those. She will eat a fish stick or a chicken nugget. She likes french fries.
Anyway, breakfast could be any of the following: waffles, pancakes, eggs & a strip of toast, muffin, fruit, cereal with banana or blueberries, cereal bar.
Lunch, again, any of the following or a combo of them: yogurt, veggie puree, fruit, piece of cheese quesadilla, piece of grilled cheese, piece of bagel with cream cheese, cheese & whole wheat ritz.
Dinner could be any of the following: chicken or fish stick, puree veg, any fruit, french fries, mac n cheese (a new thing for her), a cut up meatball, spaghetti squash with sauce (if I am eating it), egg with cheese, whole wheat pancake with sweet potato puree in it (make them myself).
Snack: pretzel, crackers, pudding, gold fish (cheese or cinnamon), veggie sticks, dried cereal, push up yogurt, puffs, yogurt melts.

Re: What do you feed your 1+ year old?
Most of the above stuff.. and the add..
cream cheese and jelly sammie PB n J whole wheat pita pizza.. (you can make a bunch, wrap them in plastic wrap and freeze them) I make a meatloaf and add veggies ( I boil them and puree and then add it to the mix. Then I cook it and when it cools I slice it up and put in a big ziploc and freeze it.. spreading the slices out at first so they don't stick together) Banana quinoa ( boil it and put whatever veggies I have in it with some chicken stock) I make a bunch and use it all week.
I also make homemade mac n cheese sauce but, I pour it over orzo with chopped broccoli and I freeeze portions.
Anything he doesn't feel like eating.. I put ketchup on it.. it usually does the trick.
