What do you guys think of this dining room table??

It is from Bob's. It is a pub table, a little higher than most DR tables. i have a co-op and not that much room to work with but there is something about this set that i love! i saw it in person in the store and it is really nice.

so my 2 questions are.....

opinions on the pub-like table?

opinions on the bench chair? i am still on the fence about the bench. i can change it if i want. i just feel that if 2 people sit on it that it might be uncomfortable, i don't know

I like the idea of a pub table. I have a pub style dining room table and I have gotten so many compliments on it because it is different. To be honest I am not sure about the benches though although I like them I don't personally think that I would get them for fear of what you have mentioned when guests come over. If you can replace the benches with regular chairs I say go for it.

I like the table and chairs. I don't like the bench. Besides the practicality, IMO I think the chairs just look better.

bench seating is usually weird for adults, not everyone is comfortable sitting the same distance from the table & I think both people would need to get up if one person wanted to.
I think pub height is good for smaller spaces or casual dining.
When we host holidays we add tables & chairs to seat more people, what happens when you have pub height? some people are lower?

I love the pub table style, we have one similar to that (pics in my home album) and everyone loves it. I personally wouldn't go for the bench seat.

i love the pub style.....

the bench is ok.....just check it to be sturdy....

growing up my parents had a bench dining room set and i use to lean back and knock it over all the time....i cant tell you how many times i fell over and i am not a clumsy person....

also think about who will be sitting there and their size.....

I saw something similar to this!! I like it, it looked sharp. I actually like the bench, the color is great too. You can really jazz it up with any color!

I have been looking at the same set and I love it! I just hate the bench idea. If we had children then maybe, but I would do the two extra chairs.
