what do you have in common with DH/SO?

My DH and I have recently been discussing what we have in common..... he thinks we need everything in common and I don't agree. My friends also say that they don't have much in common with their DH's. Just was wondering if it's all around. Please help prove I"m right- but do give your honest answers!

Me and DH have a lot in common. We share similar interests in how to spend our free time. We have differences of opinions too on certain political issues, other general things, and some parenting issues. For example he would love for DS to sleep in our bed and I am 100% against it. But for the most part we are on the same page. I do think it is important to have a lot of common interests.

I think that if the two of you are too much alike, it would be boring! Different personalities make up for interesting couples.

We both like to workout, do outdoorsy activities, watch movies, play board games, we both love baseball and like to go to Yankee games, he plays hockey and I love to go watch him.

The only thing we have in common is each other and dd!
He is an extrovert, I am an introvert.
He loves TV, I hate it.
I love the outdoors, He rather be in.
I can eat and eat and eat, He could care less about food.
He hates confrontation so doesnt speak up, I always speak my mind.
I could go on and on.

We have a lot of things in common, as far as our parenting views, sports, activities we enjoy etc.
However, as far as politics and stuff like that we are completely opposite. It does make for some interesting conversations though.

I guess you always need some kind of differences to keep things interesting.

We do have a lot in common but we have our differences as well. I think it would be boring to be exactly alike.

We both love TV but differ in many shows.

I am definately more outgoing than him. He is quiet around people but when it's just me and him he's a riot!

I love to eat, he could care less.

He loves his cars and could work on them 24/7 and I just don't get it.

We both love baseball (and the Yankees) but I also love football and he could care less.

I sometimes like to talk politics and he could care less.

We don't have much. Other than children, I'd probably have to grasp at straws to find something.

Similar political views but he's more political.
Importance of Family
Similar tastes in music, going to concerts, plays ( but don't most people like that?)

We have many more differences than similarities.

We have nothing in common! The longer we're together the more we realize it. But it makes it interesting I guess...

The only things that we have in common are that we feel our family comes 1st
we like to relax with a few drinks
we have childhood friends that we treasure
we love to get together with friends/family
we both like to spend money (but on differnt types of things)
we both love to make fun of people (but not infront of them of course, only to each other, you should hee some of our one-liners

But for most other things we are quite opposite.

Not a heck of a lot. Honestly we are very very opposite. I think we have our goals in common as far as the future but we are very individual people when it comes to almost everything. Most of the time it works for us. Sometimes it just drives me crazy that he's not neat or a great dresser but these are really minor things.

We have all of the major issues in common- childcare, money, family, etc. It's the little differences that we find interesting about eachother- sports, reading, tv. etc.

We are a lot alike re: sense of humor and the way we think...

Where we differ is that I am super high-strung and dramatic and he is more calming...although after Bella was born, he has turned into paranoid city and I am the voice of reason...Go Figure!

We were best friends before we got together...it isn't so much of what we have in common, it's the fact that he knows ALL of my flaws and drawbacks and loves me more because of them and vice versa.
