What do you take for muscle soreness/pain/cramps?
I know, I know, a massage would be ideal....
Advil isn't doing much (and I thought it was an anti-inflammatory?) and I have so much pain/tightness in my upper back/shoulders/neck.
What works?
TIA

I usually take tylenol and rub icy hot.
When the pain is unbearable I have a prescription of celebrex.
Sometimes just soaking in the tub helps. We have a jacuzzi tub so the jets hit all the right spots.

I have a hot water bottle and a microwavable hot pack that just feels so good.

Aleve ususally works great for me. Also, try rotating your shoulders in circles - that can loosen up a lot of what's in there

normally Advil....a hot shower and a shoulder rub down from DH usually loosens me up and off to bed to relax.
Advil might not be working if you take it too often. Try another medication.

Re: What do you take for muscle soreness/pain/cramps?
It is best to take Ibprophen (sp?) or Advil for these kind of pains as opposed to tylenol or asprin type medications...
They are muscle relaxors and help quicker and better with muscle pains and cramps
