What do you think???

Caiden is 17.5 months old and he's been soooo interested in the potty that mommy and daddy uses. Everytime we say the word potty, he runs into the bathroom. He also loves to put toilet paper in the toilet and flush it. He even let me put him on the toilet the other day. I asked him if he was going pee pee and he said yes and ran into the bathroom with him. Though he couldn't really sit on the toilet since he didn't have anything to sit on to keep him up! LOL He's only woken up a few times dry in the morning.

Do you think I should introduce the potty while he's showing a lot of interest? Everytime my DH or I go in to use the BA, he runs in after us and watches/pays attention to what we're doing?

What do you think? Do you think he's too young?

Definitely introduce it!!! just don't push him or he may regress.

It sounds young but he's showing interest, I would definelty try it.

absolutely try to get him potty trained....he's telling you he's ready!! It might take awhile for him to notice the feeling of having to go...but if he's a scheduled eater, you might be able to know that a half hr later, he needs to pee.....

I would get the potty out and let him play with it. If he is still interested and ready you'll know. But dont pressure him. As my pediatrician said to me, they have more control than we think and if you push to hard they will show you their control (and then become constipated).

I would get one of those seats to put on the regualr toilet seat so he can sit on the toilet and would def let him use it
