What do you think about wainscoting in a baby's room?

I've wanted to do this for a LONG time and finally convinced DH to climb on board. Now that he's agreed, I am doubting my choice. Do you think it looks nice in a baby's room? Do you think it's too girlie?

I think it looks great...its what I wanted. But then I decided its too much Chat Icon and I put up a wallpaper divide in the room, painted the top different from the bottom. It looks great. Just another option...

i like it - Go with your first choice.
If it's something you've wanted for a long time, you've pictured it for a long time - I'm sure you will love it.

Not too girlie at all. I LOVE it and would do it if I was feeling up to it.

This is what I envision his room to look like (minus the white furniture- ours is a cherry wood)

Anyone know what program would allow me to cut the furniture from the second picture and past it into the first?

i have it! DH and his friend did it. it was super easy and super cheap. i think they spent $100 on the wainscotting package.

neither of them are fabulous with power tools but they did it! we absolutely love it. the walls are a dark blue with the white on bottom and natural furnitureChat Icon

Do it if you love it!! I love the look of it and wish I had done it. It's not too girly at all.

Personally, I love wainscotting in a baby's room. I have very traditional taste and think it adds a clean look. I also like it with plain wall

Thanks! Do you have any pics? I love seeing them.

Did they buy the package at Home Depot?

Re: What do you think about wainscoting in a baby's room?

I have it in Gs room and I like it. We did natural and did a pickeling stain to lighten it a bit. It is not at white as the crib, but not as "woodsy" as the floor (he has bamboo floors).
