What do you think are the most flattering maternity styles?
I know everyone is different but generally, what do you think is the most flattering maternity style? Visuals are helpful!
I just feel fat and gross as it is. I don't want to look like I'm wearing a moo moo on top of it all. I've seen women wearing maternity clothes that just look frumpy. I'm on a mission tonight to find some work clothes. Any suggestions?

Re: What do you think are the most flattering maternity styles?
I find that I am happiest in clothes that are the same as the style of clothing that I wore before PG.
A pretty top with a cardigan and skinny jeans with boots has been my typical go-to outfit...I found a great pair of "skinny" jeans from a Pea in the Pod, sale rack too.
I also found a nice pair of black pants from Heidi Klums Loved line, have worn them with boots and will wear them with flats too as spring approaches.
Destination Materinty in Carle Place, has a nice diverse selection.
Have fun and good luck shopping :)

Re: What do you think are the most flattering maternity styles?
I don't know..I still think a lot of maternity designers don't "GET IT" as far as what looks flattering. First of all, stripes are hard to look good on most people, but pregnant women? Come on. I *TRIED* to do some stripes - I gave it a shot. I looked like a nautical nightmare.
They forget that you still have hips, a butt, a chest, arms....some designs are so flattering to a baby bump, but others make you look like you are wearing a circus tent.
Here are my personal YAY and NAYs as far as looks:
YAY - Very Flattering!
***************************** NAY - No thank you...I still have a shape, and I prefer not to look like I am wearing a tent.

Re: What do you think are the most flattering maternity styles?
I pretty much feel the best in similar styles as I wore pre-pregnancy. I wear a fitted shirt or tank with a cardigan over it and skinny jeans/leggings with high boots pretty much all the time. I usually pair it with a long necklace and some sort of belt. In general I look awful in anything loose fitting or with an empire waist.

Anything that is empire waist. It could be fitted or flowy.
The tata's get lost with the growing belly. SO there has to be a seam under them to separate boob and belly.

ITA I have a lot of "maternity" stuff to be frump and moo mooish.. I tend to wear a fitted long sleeve or tank with my old blazers or cardigans. I have a few tissue paper thin turtle necks that are fitted and just extra long.

Re: What do you think are the most flattering maternity styles?
FITTED! Anything that is flowy looks terrible and makes me look even bigger. Most of what I wear is similar in style to what I wore pre pregnancy.
I don't know where designers got the idea that now that I am PG I want a bow under my boobs or childish flowers on my shirt. Not for me...

I love ruched shirts and my full belly panel jeans. Even though I probably just look chunky, I feel pregnant when I wear that combo.

Thanks for the input. I feel very overwhelmed by all of this.
Do we like the under the belly pants or the ones with that thingy that stretches all the way up?
STT - love the yays. Where did you find them?

Re: What do you think are the most flattering maternity styles?
In my opinion, under the belly pants are GREAT for the 2nd trimester. I thought they were so comfy. During the past 2 weeks, they have gotten uncomfortable though at 28+ weeks. They fold over once the belly is big. I'd recommend getting a few of both.
