Really doesn't mean anything. My baby's heartbeat was 130 at 7 weeks and the tech guessed boy based on that. Then it was in the 150's and has stayed there. I am having a girl.

They won't even tell me the heartrate yet and I'm 14 weeks. They said I have to wait for my 16-17 week visit for the Doptone. That really pi$$es me off!

I ALWAYS ASK.. MY BELLY IS FAIRLY SMALL BUT I WILL TAKE PICS THIS WEEKEND.. DOC SAID BABY IS RIGHT AT THE DUE DATE .. TO I AM IN GOOD SHAPE. I AM 20 WEEKS AND GAINED 7 POUNDS..

Im having a boy and his H/s has been from 128 to 170.....LOL
I dont think the HB means a thing. He had a VERY high heartrate at the beginning, meaning he should have been a girl? lol

I agree - I have only been given the HB twice. Once in the morning - it was 130 and once in the evening - it was 160.

def cant tell that way-sorry, my baby's HB was in the 160's b/t 6 and 10 weeks (which would have indicated a girl) and at my 20 weeks sono, found out we were having a and his HB then was 141, so its not a great predictor of the sex

I just have to say that although so many say that the higher heartrate=girl is just a tale, one of the midwives in the group I used said that she has found it to be 80% accurate. She was the only one to predict girl for me of all of the midwives and she was right
