What do you think I should add to my daughter's 1st bday?
She's a Christmastime baby like mommy, so I'm doing her first bday (just family..i'd like to have a "friends" party after the holiday) on dec 17 at our house. it's going to be quite a crowd, about 42 ppl including 9 kids ranging from newborn to 9. I know a lot of people have entertainment and stuff, but since this is indoors at my house and my daughter is still real little for that stuff, I was just thinking about getting a Santa to come in, hand out favors to the babies and their mommies, take some pics and that's about it. Is that lame? Should I be doing more?

yeah? i just don't want all the babies, including mine, to get scared! i TOTALLY did when i was a baby! i mean, any other cute ideas for stuff to do? my house is going to be pretty packed with people and food!

There are kids who are totally scared of Santa. Santa comes to our house on the firetruck Christmas eve. The first year it was just my niece and she loved him. The second year she hated him! My son is totally scared of him too.

I think it's a great idea but kids 2-4 may be scared.
My DD wasn't scared her first Christmas but her second she wouldn't go NEAR Santa Claus. I wonder how DS will do this year..
