What do you think of JCPenney's Ralph Lauren line: American Living?
So I was flipping through Sunday's paper and I looked through the JCPenney ad and saw their new line by Ralph Lauren called American Living. It didn't say anywhere that was RL but something about it made me think it was. I googled it and found out that it is a line just for them by RL.
Cute stuff.
Anyone else see it?

American Living is the new line of apparel and home products delevoped by Global Brand Concepts a division of Ralph Lauren exclusively for JCPenney retail stores, launching in February 2008.
On February 24, 2008, JCPenney will debut its new product through commercials via the Academy Awards. Though the hard launch date is officially February 25, the merchandise will be available beginning February 8, 2008 in half of JCPenney's nearly 1400 stores.
The line will be available in men's apparel, women's apparel, children's apparel, and the home department. While the same quality as Lauren's other products for such higher end apparel companies as Macy's, the American Living line is expected to cost less. There are plans to extend the product lines within the coming months to include jewelery, outerwear, lingerie, as well as extend the size base to include men's big and tall as well as woman's and petite sizes by next year. It will still remain a tier above the highest priced products within JCPenney stores. Many investors are excited about the new brand claiming it will be a multi million dollar revenue. While others argue rumors of recession are not favorable for this new brand to be successful. This is the biggest product launch in both Ralph Lauren and JCPenney's history.

that's funny - when they were playing the commercials during the oscars, i said "is this a ralph lauren commercial?"

I saw it...I would check out their stuff but I think the commercials are terrible.

that is so funny, when I saw it I thought are they trying to copy RL? 
looked pretty good too...
JC penney in general has been trying to bring in bigger names it seems, I felt like they were working up to Macy's status or what Macys once was...

That's exactly right. But now that Macy's went down since Federated bought them, I would much rather go to JCP
