what do you think of this first anniversary trip situation?
ok - here is the situation.. Our first anniversary (DH and I) is approaching. We wanted to take a trip together to celebrate. ILs planned a europe cruise vacation that will occur over our anniversary, and want to take us, along with SIL and BIL. Is it stupid to feel a little sad that we wont be alone for our first anniversary trip. I KNOW its selfish, as they are paying, but, I dont know... we were hoping for a second honeymoon. What do you think? Feel free to tell me I'm being a brat if you think so, haha. i think Ill post this on relationships as well..

Do you get your own room on the ship? Maybe your DH can tell your IL's that the night of your anniversary you two are going to order room service and stay in and celebrate each other.
I know it's your anniversary, but I would LOVE for someone to pay for a vacation for me. I would relish in it. That's just me though.....

I don't think you're being a brat, but if I was offered a free European cruise that just happened to occur over my anniversary, I'd think "Score!".
I agree with the PP - let the family know that you want some alone time with your DH. I'm sure they will understand.

I would go. Like the above posters said tell you family that you need alone time, especially on the day of your anniversary.
