What do you use to clean kitchen cabinets?
Esp. if you have grease spots? I've tried pledge and murphy's oil and they still look dirty. They are light oak.

Re: What do you use to clean kitchen cabinets?
OK so here is the thing. You really should only use mild soap and water on cabinets...never anything abrasive, but if they are far gone and you really want to try something else ... here are a few suggestions (soap and water being first) Test remedies 2-4 on the inside of cabinet door first.
1) 2 T of dish soap with 2 cups of warm water - rub with grain dry with clean towel 2) Put baking soda onto a clean damp cloth and rub in circles, rinse, dry 3) Mix lime juice and club soda to wipe 4) Mix vinegar and water. If the grease won't come off, use only vinegar.

If they are wood you don't want to use any type of detergent. Guardsman makes a cleaner and polish.

Re: What do you use to clean kitchen cabinets?
For wooden cabinets, we use a spray bottle filled with water and murphy's oil. Shake before spraying if you try it.

Re: What do you use to clean kitchen cabinets?
I have wood cabinets and I use soap and water if they are dirty - grease or I spilled something.
Sometimes to give them a real shine I use Murphy's Oil or another wood cleaner.

Re: What do you use to clean kitchen cabinets?
I loveeeeee Mr. Clean Magic Erasers!!! I often stop folks in the cleaning products aisle, to tell them how great they are!!!! But, I have never used them on my wooden kitchen cabinets. I hate that gummed up grease too, and it has been a pain to remove!!! Thanks for all the tips, everyone!!!! Mary
