what do you use to clean your ceramic tile floor?
My master bath has ceramic tiles - and a heated floor. Today's the day for cleaning and I'm nervous! I want to make sure I use the right product. Anything I should NOT use?
our beautiful floor...
I'm gonna sound really stupid for asking this but...what the heck material is my countertop? It feels ceramic-y and it's got a nice texture to it...has little grooves in it. Hard to describe. How would you wash that?
Thanks ladies for helping this clueless first time homeowner!

I use Method Eucalyptus Cleaner throughout the whole bathroom.

sad thing is, I have no clue!
I just chickened out on washing the floors traditionally...I think I'm gonna get a swiffer or something!
Call me paranoid or crazy!

I use distilled white vinegar with steaming hot water. Then I rinse with steaming hot water.
It's what my dad uses and recommended to me.

It looks like the counter top might be Corian. I would use something gentle and without ammonia for the time being.

I tried that in our apt, and it didn't work out very well, and didn't clean it as well as the vinegar and hot water.

Thanks so much! Did you just get down and scrub or did you mop it? TIA

I bought one of those mops that you place in the bucket, you pull down on the handle to squeegy it out, then you put it down on the floor for a small area, then dip it in the mixture again, and repeat, etc etc. Once the floor dries, I rinse out of the mop and bucket and then add hot water and rinse the floors with just the hot water the same way that I washed the floor before.

Re: what do you use to clean your ceramic tile floor?
How much vinegar if you fill up the whole mop bucket? It doesnt get a yucky vinegar smell that lingers? I really want to stop using cleaners on my floors since DS is crawling around on them but not sure what works.

I use enough vinegar to cover the bottom of the bucket, and then I add in another cup or so. I then add in about the same amount of water.
The floors will smell like vinegar, but once you rinse the floors, the smell will dissipate.

I'm guessing when you rinse you use a sponge right? or do you use a different mop?
Thanks so much! This has been so helpful!

I use the same mop as before, but I make sure I rinse the mop out under steaming water in the sink first.
