Re: What do you use to clean your oven?

Commercial oven cleaners work, but they are pretty toxic. I used baking soda recently, which worked really well. You spread it thickly on the bottom of the oven, squirt it with water periodically, and then let it sit overnight. By the next day, you can remove the baking soda and believe it or not, the grease comes off with it.

You can't get the sides and the top of the oven this way though, so you may need a commerical cleaner if the whole oven is a mess.

this is the only thing that works on the wondow for me!

I don't use my oven much for splattering things, so it's never very messy, but I will try to stay on top of things and wipe things up quickly. self clean does the big jobs if need be.
