What do you use to determine ovulation?
This is my first month off BCP after 9 years. I have a feeling my cycles will be all screwed up. My cycles were pretty irregular before I started taking BCPs. I'd like to figure out if and when I'm ovulating. What do you use to determine this: charting, CBEFM, CM? Is there any method you recommend/prefer? TIA.

Re: What do you use to determine ovulation?
I do all of the above...CM, OPK's & charting. To me they all work together & give me different information about my body. I feel like without monitoring all 3, one of the pieces of the puzzle is missing & its harder to know what's really going on.

Re: What do you use to determine ovulation?
We only started TTC last month, and it was a BFN. I used mymonthlycycles.com and a CBE OP (the one with the two blue lines). This month, we're doing it the old fashioned way. BD everyday...starting TODAY!!!

Re: What do you use to determine ovulation?
I was on BCP for 9 years also. My cycles became irregular after a few months going off of it, now they have become more normal finally, still on the long side. I bought the CBEFM and like it so far. This is my 2nd month using it. I recommend it.

Re: What do you use to determine ovulation?
I have used all methods including CM charting, temping and OPK. If you are going to use OPK I would def. use a digital eventhough they are more expensive. As annoying as it is, temping is the best way to confirm that ovulation has in fact taken place. HTH!

Re: What do you use to determine ovulation?
CBEFM - I was on the pill for 10 years prior to going off and I was pretty regular right away.

Re: What do you use to determine ovulation?
For the first year, I was using OPKs but had no luck with that. This cycle I'm going to start using the CBEFM. If in a few months we still don't get that BFP, I will see an RE.
