What do you wear at children's parties? Update super sad for dd

Wanted to update since you all were so kind

I did write to the teacher and just let her know what she said and asked how she is during the day and if she often plays alone, seems like she's making friends, any specific playmates she seems to be drawn to.

Teacher said that the children like her very much and dd is all smiles during the day. She mentioned a couple of instances when dd wanted to play with some girls and did not know the rule that it's a "two person activity" so she got upset and her feelings were hurt when she was told no. I witnessed this at drop off last week when dd approached some children and were told no because certain activities apparently are for two children, three etc.

For example, Lego table is for three children. I don't understand why but didn't want to be that parent so whatever, dd has to get the hang of the rules. Just seems kinda strange to exclude any child especially 3 year olds just for a number if it's not like a bike where safety is compromised. I would hate for her to try to join several groups and be turned away.

The positive is today was the first day my dad did drop off and pick up since inamnback at work. She was in good spirits and seemed to have a good day. She still doesn't talk about any kids in particular like she did at her old school but seems like she had fun.

I am considering extending her to 4 days as well...

To pp budjeg - that is what I'm afraid of. That it's hurting her confidence. She was seriously so pumped the first day I really don't want her bubbliness to be affected. Definitely keeping an eye on it.

I'm sorry anyone has to go through this! So hard seeing little ones hurt

I also have twin boys almost 4 with a birthday coming up. Do what you can afford. I would suggest getting something for each one though.

Yes, I think it's important to distinguish twins as individuals! We ended up giving each girl a different terry border book which are dds faves at the moment, each girl a live pets mouse, and one mouse race track thingy to race their mice. All dd's favorite things right now. :)

The live pets mouse is actually pretty cool, my mom got it for dd and it had her entertained for days
