What do you wear on your feet in the winter?

I've never in my adult life owned 'real' winter boots - always just Uggs and they crapped out a couple years ago. Last year I made do with rainboots but I'd like a solid pair of cold weather boots that are still cute and can be worn throughout the day if need be. What does everyone wear - links/pictures are especially helpful! I may be walking a lot this winter as I try to lose my baby weight, so really good cold weather footwear is a must!

A friend of mine recommended the LL Bean snow sneakers to me. If you're looking to be active they might be the thing. There are a few styles.

I have these Uggs. These are real winter boots that are not only warm but waterproof. I have had them for 3 years now and are still in Absolutely perfect condition. I wear them when it rains snows sleet EVERYTHING. Way better than reg uggs which get destroyed when wet... AND ridiculously comfortable.

Snow boots are really uncomfortable for walking long distances because they do not provide lots of support. I would look into a nice pair of hiking boots or shoes and insulated socks if you are planning to do a lot of walking. I like the fit of the Merrel siren sport waterproof hiking shoes best. For snowy days Sorel boots are awesome!

I have a pair from Lands end that are so comfortable. They aren't the cutest things but to run to Target with my kids when there is disgusting slush all over they work good.

I recently bought a pair of Aerosoles boots. They have a small heel so they look presentable for meetings but are still comfortable to walk in

I actually got a pair of Croc boots last winter at the outlet. They're normal plastic Croc bottoms, but black suede uppers. They look like regular black boots. I love them! I wore them all the time last winter. They're especially cute if you want to wear them with skinny jeans or leggings- functional and fashionable.

My ugg boots are incredibly comfortable even for long walks. I wear themto walk to and from train which is a long walk plus walking around thr city. Never had an issue. See my above post with link to ugg boots thry arent the usual ones.
