What do you/would you buy from E-Bay?
So, I put a bid on a pair of Coach Snow Boots (Thanks to Tilde for the tip...)and now I am looking at Lodis Wallets, but am starting to wonder, how many of you have had good experiences with e-bay for clothes, makeup etc. and what do you tend to look at on Ebay? How do you know you are not getting jipped?

We have bought many things from ebay. Never clothes or shoes but many other things. We just look at the % of positive feedback the seller has to make sure they have good feedback. If they have only been a seller for a month i don't usually buy fromt hem even if they have good feed back. I go for the people who have been sellers for a while and have like 98% pos feedback.

Yep, got most of my designer bags from Ebay, as well as designer jeans, jewelry, furniture, area rugs, electronic equipment, truck & tractor equipment...you name it!
As for the designer goods, I belong to a couple of messageboards that help authenticate the items and are knowledgeable when it comes to reputable Ebay sellers.

I was warned NOT to buy designer items from ebay. If the price is too good to be true then it typically is. I sent nasty email to an ebay seller what selling a coach tote...she put up pictures and it happened to be the same one I had just bought in the outlets. The patches were wrong and the stitching was not right. IMO its just not worth it...

I have purchased MANY different things from eBay, anything from makeup to CK bedding. I've never had a bad exprience. just be sure to buy from a reputable seller.

You're right...if it sounds too good to be true, it is. But it's only not worth it if you don't know what you're looking for.
I've purchased a number authentic designer bags on Ebay with no problems (Versace, Fendi, Chloe, etc.) and wouldn't hesititate to buy more. The bags I purchased were limited in production and as a result, Ebay was really my only option.
And FWIW, you shouldn't email the seller directly if you see a fake item being sold. You should report the Auction and Item # to Ebay and let them handle it.

I've bought Coach and Kate Spade bags on Ebay with no problem. I am very cautious about which sellers I use.
My friend got burnt on a fake LV wallet and ebay and paypal were no help. She lost $$$ A super high end designer like that I might not get on Ebay.

I have bought and sold on ebay....all sorts of items...makeup, bags, housewares, even cars....all have been good experiences. You just have to make sure you do your homework. Only buy from sellers with good feedback.

I buy all my vintage clothes on Ebay. Ebay rocks. You just have to be careful when it comes to designer new handbags.... read the feedback, make sure that they are a high seller, do research on the bags.
