What does carrying like a "girl" or a "boy" look like?
What makes people say it looks like you are carrying a girl/boy? What characteristics define each?

frankly, it looks the same  everyone kept saying I'm carrying a girl, but it was a boy.
I think girls are supposed to be lower than boys 
doesn't make a difference... it's just an old wives' tale

I've heard,
Boy; More in front think basketball
Girl; more round, all over weight gain. Also HEARD when carrying a girl the mother looks less attractive, since the girl is getting all your beauty. Noses spread more yada, yada.
Mind you, this is coming from my 81 yr old "scratch your toochy if you have a craving and can't have it" Italian grandma.

exactly what it means. everyone comes to me and tells me I am carrying a boy (which I am). basically if anyone told me I look like I am carrying a girl, I would be insulted

My grandma is a pip. I was in NY a few weeks ago and she high fived me because I "looked to good to be Pregnant". High fived me. I was hyterical. She also told me who ever is more aggressive in bed (sexually) the baby will look like. I wanted to die. She speaks her mind.

I heard the same, and when we found out it was a girl my MIL graciously said I wanted to tell you you looked like you were carrying a girl but I didn't want you to beat me up

Whenever I tell people I am having a girl they are like "really?? are you sure?? you look like you are having a boy" no I am not sure...idiots
I also heard that if you have a waist while pregnant you are having a boy if not (all round) you are having a girl.....all crap....

I heard the same, and when we found out it was a girl my MIL graciously said I wanted to tell you you looked like you were carrying a girl but I didn't want you to beat me up
That's why I ask...people keep telling me the carrying part (belly) looks like a girl. But my face hasn't changed, my skin is amazing, etc.
Just today I looked at my belly and feel it is starting to get a bit pointy, all low though which I thought was boy (belly being pointy).

To answer your question though I know its an old wives tale or whatever but I think this is true based on my own experience my first is a girl and now I'm having a boy and I LOOK completely different.
Girl-I was huge, it looked like my stomach started at my back! My face was really round and I look bloated (puffy) and my nose did spread. My complexion was awful too. I was huge weight wise.
Boy-I look so good now LOL I get compliments all the time on how well i'm carrying and how I'm carrying small at 8mos. My belly is round and my boobs are huge and my skin is perfect.
