What does everyone give their child when they are vomiting?
Meaning food.. like when they are starting to feel better. Kaila has been living on chicken soup and she refuses it now.
Is there anything you always give that seems to stay down? We've been doing the soup, saltines or pretzels and ginger ale. The obvious gatorade (she hates pedialyte) and water. I know some people having things they do that their mother did, or grandmother. Just looking for some suggestions, thanks!

Anything dry that she can tolerate- I did what you're already doing- plus Italian bread and a turkey sandwich about 2 days later as the first "normal" food. I find the stomach bug seemed to last in DS little system far longer than it took for me to feel better- it took about 2 weeks for all symptoms to be gone both times he was sick. Hope she's feeling better soon!

if she can tolerate food - my mom gave me (she used to be a nurse and my ped okayed it for DD) rice with beef broth or chicken broth, VERY mushy steam carrots, ripe (NO green) bananas, crackers (town house or club). If that stays down - you can try some plain (NO oil or butter) scrambled eggs - with some salt or pepper if it needs some flavor with plain white toast. That is what I feed DD when she has a stomach bug. Drinks my ped recommends some ginger ale with the bubbles stirred out so it is flat if they need a break from the pedialyte
Etd to say we don't do saltines b.c they have extra salt in them and so it was suggested to try club or town house crackers instead
