What does ULTA sell? Is it like Sephora?
I have never been in an ULTA. What does it sell and is it anything like Sephora?

What does ULTA sell? Is it like Sephora?
It's sort of similar. The one in Levittown has a section with some of the same brands- Stila, Tarte, Benefit, Philosophy, etc and high-end hair care brands, which I'm not too familiar with. They have a salon, and they sell all the mass-market brands- Cover Girl, and so on, as well as lots of drugstore skin care brands. They also have their own line of makeup and bath products.

I find the people in ultra don't really care. Any time I was in a sephora they were very informed of products and helpful. No talking to each other or cell phones.

They also sell brands that are harder to find , like NYX and Palladio (also in Sally's.) They are considered drug store brands, but they aren't carried in drugstores around here. They are not as mass market as Maybelline, Cover Girl, etc.

I look at it like - level 1 is drugstores like Walgreens. Level 2 is Ulta. Level 3 is Sephora.
The Sephora near me is in the mall and a bit more annoying to get to than the Ulta, so for quick things that I know they carry, I go to Ulta. For browsing or higher end stuff, it's Sephora.

Ulta also mails out lots of coupons too - I've seen a bunch of 20% off your entire order lately and always get $3.50 off $10 purchase in their circular.

I use deva curl products and they are the only ones around me that sell it and I can use a coupon!
