what does your daycare do for "timeouts?"

Ok this is kind of funny.

I asked Jake's teacher what she does and she said she doesn't like to use the word "timeout".

They have to "sit down and think about what they did". I laughed and said "and this works????" She claims it does.

That's very sweet and all but in my house "timeout" is not a dirty word. It's a word that's used quite often!

I'm pretty sure DS's pre-k (and same school for pre-shcool before that) uses "timeout", and they place the child in a corner (if they run out of corners, they use another separated space....). Very similar techniques to what we use at home, so we like that.
