What does your winter coat look like?

I'm in the market for a new one and looking to hit some end-of-season sales if at all possible. I've had my current outerwear for far too long, and I need suggestions.

What do YOU wear for your standard, everyday-type winter coat, or what type would you like to get?

i have a few that I've collected the past 5-6 yrs:

a long gray wool coat (perfect for when it's not too cold and not precipitating. thin enough to be comfortable driving to work, warm enough that i don't have to blast the dreaded heat)

a long black down puffer (for the coldddd days or days in the city, etc.)

a short tweed LL Bean wool coat (my most used)

a short brown gap puffer (great weekend coat)

and a columbia ski jacket (waterproof and the warmest of all. my 'outside' coat)

I got a new winter coat 2 weeks ago and they were all on clearance then, with very little stock left everywhere I went. Go ASAP!

I ended up getting a black down Calvin Klein coat, it's kind of fitted at the waist so it's feminine but still really thick and warm. $269 marked down to $90!

I have a few....

My work coat that is blue/grey fleece lined with the Helicopter embodered on it...Not what you're looking for I suppose

A short navy blue wool pea coat for when it's not super cold and I am wearing jeans or nice pants.

A LOOOOOOOOONG tan pea coat for cold days, when I wear a dress, or when I dress up and want to stay warm.

My everyday winter coat is my Columbia coat. It's white and blue. It has the liner and can be a fleece and windbreaker. I ♥ it!

All of these coats were bought at end of season sales and cost no more then $70......I REFUSE to spend retail on anytihng seasonal

I love pea coats..I have one in practically every color! lol they go with everything...

I have a bubble jacket with a fur hood and one mid-length pea coat and one shorter pea coat.

I have a few, but my favorite one is a coat I bought from J. Crew this year. Below is a picture, but I have it in a bright papaya (orange) color. I was hesitant to buy such a bright coat, but literally every day someone stops me and tells me how much they love my coat. I feel like I can never go back to wearing a black coat!!

short gray pea coat. I will be honest I never wear coats, I hate feeling restricted in them. I am going to get frost bite one day.

All I know is i want to throw the frickin' thing in the garbage already.
I am SO SICK of wearing a coat everywhere I go.
I just want to run out of the house in my cute outfit and not have to cover the damn thing up!!!!

Ok I'm done venting!
