What else can I do for my mom's b-day besides a party?
I wanted to throw her a party...its a big b-day for her...but she specifically told my brother on more than one occasion NO PARTIES!!!
So I don't know what to do...any ideas?

For my mother's 50th birthday, she was very clear that she didn't want a party....so we took her out to dinner at a restaurant with all of her children and our significant others at the time.
My father also gave her tickets to Paris for the weekend for her birthday - so we all chipped in and gave her a nice amount of spending money to use while she was there.
She was very happy.

We took my MIL to brunch at the Garden City Hotel for her 60th birthday and it was lovely.

My cousin got her Mom tickets to the "Dancing with the Stars" tour!!!!
I am not sure exactly when it is, but if that is something your Mom watches, she would probably really like it

We took my mother on her 75th to the Garden City Hotel for the Sunday Brunch. Its about $60 pp give or take.

Sounds just like my Mom. She begs us not to send flower to her job either...I say a broadway play. We dd that one year and she loved it because my sister and I had taken her so she loved the togetherness of it also.
