what else can I start as far as table solids

I posted awhile ago that he will gag on any and everything. So far he is a pro with Puffs. He put's them in his mouth and chews it. I do give him little pieces of what I eat that is bready and he is fine. I was wondering what else I could try.

Sydney does not like many table foods but she loves pancakes and french toast. I keep the frozen ones in the house and make them for her once in a while.

I was going to post the same question. Brendan is crazy about the puffs and doesn't want to eat the jarred stuff so much anymore. Yesterday I tried giving him small pieces of cooked carrots-didn't like those either. He loves bananas so I give him little pieces of that, but they are hard to pick up. I even coated them in crushed up puffs crumbs. We've also tried avocado. little pieces of bread. I was thinking of giving him apples and pears, but I'm not sure if you have to cook them first? Maybe sweet potatoes and potatoes cut into small pieces. I don't know really. I'm looking for ideas too.

Once cheerios and puffs were mastered, I moved on to cheese (shredded), soft chicken, real soft fruits and veggies (peas, peaches, pears, green beans). I waited until Kevin was closer to 11 months before starting most table foods per my ped's recommendation. MY ped was real big on not rushing table food telling me it is a choking hazard and not necessary under 9 months at all (even puffs). I think I only did cheese, puffs, cheerios and teething cookie type stuff before he was 10 months old. At 11 months - I started meats and fuits and veggies - real small and real soft at first and eventually anything I ate.

We are eating pretty much everything that Mommy and Daddy eat...Noah even had an Indian meal out this week! He loved the Naan breads and Chicken Korma! I feed him pretty much anything I have around...

Filled Pasta (like Tortellini)
Fish Sticks
Peas
Chicken Boiled or BBQed
Steamed/Boiled Veggies
Pancakes
Tangerines
Bananas
Apples
Toast is a bit hit

I feed him pretty much anything I have that I can cook for him. Most of it winds up on the floor anyway..

I was just at DS's 8 month check up and the dr said I can try mashed potatoes, mushed up meatball, meatloaf, pasta, he even said to try buying ground chicken and cooking it and giving him that. DS hasn't had any finger foods yet so I'm just starting with puffs and bitter biscuits
